Pressure Filter Leaves
The filter leaf is the most important component of the pressure filter. Every leaf has its own filtrate discharge nozzle, which is placed in the horizontally mounted manifold. Every leaf can be taken out individually. As the leaves filter on both sides, a large filtration area can be obtained in a relatively small vessel.
Due to the unique construction, no deposit of filter aid particles or impurities is possible inside the filter leaf as there is constant flow in the coarse mesh and the tubular frame. For perfect seal, the nozzles have an O-ring seal.
The filter leaf consists of several layers of wire mesh. The inner layer is a coarse mesh for the discharge of the filtrate and the support of the outer layers. Sometimes five layers are used for better support of the fabric covers.
The special method of construction of the filter leaf and the tubular frame ensures a rapid and equal cake deposit over the entire leaf. A minimum pressure drop inside the leaves is guaranteed even at high filtration needs.
Menardi supplies replacement pressure filter leaves to fit all major OEM vessels.
