Dust collection systems in this industry are often undersized, or under pressure to maximize gas flow to meet increased production demands. We offer Mikro-Pleat™ pleated filters for these situations. Mikro-Pleat pleated filters can substantially increase filter area over conventional filter bags and can result in lower pressure loss and improved gas flow. The spunbond media used in manufacturing of the pleated elements is also up to 50% more efficient than conventional felted fabrics. Fabric options include: Mikrotex® PTFE membrane laminates, oleophobic finishes, conductive finishes for static electricity abatement as well as high temperature fabrics. Lower compressor requirements can also be realized due to lower air pressure demand for cleaning. Example Applications
Titanium Dioxide Production is an extremely challenging application for baghouses and dust collection equipment. Both Rutile and Anatase crystal operations present many difficulties. These processes require enhanced efficiency media that can withstand severe corrosion problems due to the chemistry involved. Menardi manufactures high efficiency woven PTFE filter bags with Mikrotex® PTFE membrane as well Mikrotex membrane on other types of substrates and PTFE felted media, which work very well in these environments. Menardi also manufactures bag retainers (cages) out of various grades of stainless steel, hastelloy, and other materials which provide long trouble-free life.
