01/01/2006 | ProSnap® Filter Bags
Your Maintenance People Will Thank You For Specifiying Menardi's New ProSnap Filter Bags For Your Top Load Collector.
Snap-in filter bags mean simple installation compared to clamp designs but are known for putting tremendous strain on fingers and wrist tendons. Snap-in bags have a spring steel band sewn into the top cuff. Conventional bags have a flat band.
ProSnap bands feature a rounded groove formed around the middle of the band. This groove is slotted, allowing the band to flex easily, and requiring much less force to insert and remove. ProSnap bags, available exclusively from Menardi, give you the advantages of snap-in bags without the disadvantages:
- Easier and quicker changeouts. The ProSnap band is much easier to deform so there’s less strain on the tendons.
- A more secure seal. Because ProSnap provides 2-point sealing (conventional snap-in bags provide1-point sealing), there is less chance of a leak if some grid plate holes are over-size.
- Good Value. ProSnap bags are the same price as conventional double beaded bags.

04/07/2005 | Micro-Inversion Filtration™
Menardi PTFE Candle filter bags in challenging brine slurry take filter life from 6 weeks to 12 months and counting.
The Menardi PTFE candle filter bag, utilizing Menardi's new Micro-Inversion Filtration™ technology is designed for harsh chemical environments and is manufactured from Menardi's highly efficient woven Mikrotex® filter media. The Micro-Inversion PTFE filter bag releases the filter cake easily during the back pulse wash cycle without membrane fracture due to the inherent characteristics of filter media and the unique design of the sleeve. The longitudinal seam is reinforced and sewn with two types of
stitching to form a secure joint. The ends of the bag are open with a PTFE-corded drawstring hem. The integral drawstring allows for quick installation on the filter candles.
Menardi has 900 bags installed in a chlor-alkali environment containing significant levels of free chlorine. The previous OEM bags were only lasting 2-3 months before severe media degradation caused service failures. Filter bags using Micro-Inversion filtration technology were installed in November 2003. After 16 months the candle filters remain in service and are performing exceptionally well.
02/01/2005 | Menardi Introduces First Snap-in Pleated Filter With Integral Venturi
Menardi's Mikro-Pleat™ V-Series™ is the first snap-in pleated filter element with an integral venturi. Venturis have long been recognized as necessary for optimum performance in pulse-jet baghouses. They provide two important benefits: 1) Optimized pulsing and 2) Less pressure drop during normal operation. Now these benefits are available for those who want pleated filters with the convenience of the snap-in design.

Corporate News
11/22/2003 The Menardi Division of Beacon Industrial Manufacturing has successfully completed the upgrade process to ISO 9001:2000. The new ISO 9001:2000 certification is effective as of November 22, 2003.
Menardi's US manufacturing facility in Trenton, SC has been certified to ISO 9002:1994 since Dec 12, 1996. Our registrar is Underwriters Laboratories Inc. We have chosen to be on a 6-month audit cycle (instead of the normal annual cycle) to help the process maintain high visibility throughout our organization.
The new ISO 9001:2000 standard is based on a “process approach”, in which an organization’s key activities are divided into their logical interacting or interrelated groups (processes). These processes, and the way they are organized and documented, then form the starting point of the management system. This is a vast improvement over previous versions of the Standard (1987 and 1994), in which there was a tendency to take the Standard as the starting point and attempt to change activities to meet it.
